Doctrinaire Loyalty
It need be known that the doctrine by Mr. Samael Aun Weor began its expansion with the help of the first disciples who received his teachings. With the passage of time some of those disciples disobeyed the lines that had originally been established by him as the President Founder of Contemporary Gnosticism and continued to disseminate in different spots around the world a teaching out of step with the original principles that had created and nourished it. This caused new Gnostic trends to be formed that started to carry the personal shade of those who had deviated from Mr. Samael Aun Weor’s line of work.
Such separateness became more and more acute, to the extent that new Gnostic groups with specific acronyms were formed and each of them pretentiously wanted to establish one single Gnosis. This has gone so far as to mutilate whole paragraphs from the works by Mr. Samael Aun Weor, or to insert new ones of the personal production of those separatists.
AGEAC’s current heads have watched these events over many years. This has allowed us to form a judgement, critical and devoid of any fanaticism, about the development of Gnosticism in our present times. Consequently, this has also allowed us to make resolutely the healthy and clear decision of gathering ourselves under the above mentioned acronym.
Since then this institution has been growing and widening its horizons to be present (currently) in more than 25 countries all over the world.
In consequence of the all the above said and even though we have profound respect for our fellowmen, nobody will be surprised if we emphasise the fact that AGEAC has nothing to do with other Gnostic institutions; AGEAC is totally independent and autonomous in its views and ways of working.
Furthermore, although AGEAC’s name may sound similar to the names of other organisations and they may have topics in common, everybody needs to know that such similarities are very limited and, at any rate, superficial. In actual fact AGEAC detaches itself completely from any other Gnostic institution and does so not because of pride or caprice, but because its principles and aims necessitate such detachment.
And because we wish truth to be our standard and so that people now and history later may be able to judge us, we should detail some of such principles, which define us as an institution:
Firstly, AGEAC is basing its teachings exclusively on the written and spoken doctrine of the President Founder of the Contemporary Gnosis, Samael Aun Weor.
Although it is true that some disciples, or people who had been close to this great contemporary philosopher, did develop new Gnostic currents with their own concepts, we are basing our studies on the original source.
Although we repeat that we want to be deeply respectful with every person, AGEAC understands that those who with time have sought to modify the orientation and direction that Mr. Samael Aun Weor gave to his work, have adulterated the fundamental Gnostic concepts in the work of this great contemporary sage and have therefore deviated from the ancient Gnostic tradition.
Secondly, AGEAC respects profoundly each and every one of the wishes of its President Founder, and one such wishes needs to be emphasized: he renounced to the copyright of his works in order to deliver his doctrine not for profit.
We solemnly corroborate the fact that Mr. Samael Aun Weor always renounced to any financial retribution for having written his works (as he himself expressed it in public during the International Congress held in 1976 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) and also that he asked that his teachings should always be delivered for free, in such a way that the Associations that may be set up to disseminate his precepts should be maintained by the voluntary support of all their members, which is something we respect and fulfil exactly.
Any judicious person will therefore understand that if Samael Aun Weor himself never took money from the copyright of his works, in spite of the financial difficulties he had to go through many times in his life, neither AGEAC, nor any institution purporting to be faithful to the doctrine of this great man, could possibly incur in such a contradiction as to profit from those rights.
Thirdly, AGEAC respects another one among the most significant of Mr. Samael Aun Weor’s wishes, which is that his teachings be structured following the great ancient traditions, i.e. in two circles clearly distinguished: an exoteric, or external, circle and an esoteric, or internal, circle.
It is good to know that in the exoteric circle are found the lectures and practices with the members of pre-chamber, or first chamber, whilst in the esoteric circle are found all the activities of what we call second chamber.
Those people who were near Samael Aun Weor are witness to the fact that just as he devoted many year of his life to structuring and preparing the exoteric circle of Gnosis, so he also devoted many years, especially his later years, to creating the esoteric circle.
In the introduction that Mr. Samael Aun Weor makes in his grand work of G.L. (the foundation of the teachings of second chamber), any sincere Gnostic person can see how that great being repeatedly emphasises how transcendental and solemn are such teachings, which he considers to be real lessons for the consciousness that serve to stimulate it to transcend the world of relativity.
For this reason the intentional mutilations capriciously made by certain individuals, which would deprive the world of such second chamber studies, are regarded by us as a grave attack against the President Founder of the contemporary gnosis and all that he stands for.
Fourthly, AGEAC admires enormously this sage of the 20th century, who wrote more than 70 works making a colossal effort through his life so that the poor, suffering humankind could know deeply all the details of the doctrine that is promising, to those individuals who live it, that it will take them out of the world of illusion and into the Great Reality.
For this reason and in order to correspond the effort of this great man, AGEAC has had and continues to have as a main objective the publishing of as many of the works by Mr. Samael Aun Weor as possible.
Already, since the inception of our institution, we have published many titles in Spanish, and destiny permitting, we will continue with such transcendental publishing task.
In this sense, it is also important to remark not only on the number of the published works, but also on the care and attention that has been paid to each book, so that they are always a genuine reflexion of the original written by Mr. Samael Aun Weor.
Unfortunately, as mentioned further above, there is evidence of the existence of obscure vested interests that have intentionally adulterated or mutilated some of the literary jewels produced by the masterful plume of Samael Aun Weor. We publicly condemn and reject such acts.
Fifthly, in matters of psychology, AGEAC accepts only the approach expounded by Mr. Samael Aun Weor in the different works where he treats this subject matter. AGEAC therefore declares that any other psychological approach that somebody in currents unrelated to the line of this institution may be advocating for the purpose of self-knowledge is only the product of those who have separated from the original approach taken by Mr. Samael Aun Weor. AGEAC, therefore, neither practices such an alien approach, nor recommends its practice to anybody.
We also assert that the President Founder of these studies never imposed psychological criteria on anybody, since he declared himself a defender of the individual freedom of human beings.
Any fanaticism or obsession that may ever appear in relation to the psychological work is obviously the product of individuals who have distorted and adulterated the message of Mr. Samael Aun Weor.
With all this we are seeking to make the following points clear before the verdict of the judicious public opinion:
- AGEAC is a serious institution that respects the message by Mr. Samael Aun Weor both in form and content and therefore disseminates it and practices it.
- AGEAC has nothing to do with other Gnostic trends, which have a separatist character.
- AGEAC is not a institution that has appeared from nowhere with an opportunistic or self-promotional intention.
- AGEAC is and will be an institution that is open to the healthy and democratic critical dialog and therefore an institution that has nothing to hide or of which to be ashamed.
We are interested only in one thing: to love humanity profoundly and to work for its ennoblement and dignification!...
